Google Issues ‘Mobile-First’ Indexing Notifications

Google has begun sending out 'mobile-first' indexing notifications to webmasters within the last week.

The search engine giant announced that the mobile-first indexing process was imminent just over a month ago, but from the first week of May, SEOs and webmasters have started to receive notifications via the Google Search Console saying their sites have been 'enabled' for mobile-first indexing.

The notification to look out for says 'mobile-first indexing enabled for' and gives the domain name of the site it was enabled for. I.e. http://www.scsmarketingandpr.co.uk ;

Google rolls out ‘broad core’ algorithm update

Google recently released a ‘broad core’ algorithm update last week but seven days on there has been no indication that any websites have been suffered negatively from this latest release.

The search engine announced on Twitter on April 18 that it had released the new update as they ‘routinely do throughout the year’.

From the Google Twitter handle @searchliaison, Google’s public liaison of search Danny Sullivan, who ‘shares insights on how Google search works’, then advised users looking for more background and advice to the new algorithm update to refer back to an earlier tweet it had posted about this on Twitter on March 18.
