Health & Social Care Jobs Live (NHS) Case Study

Health & Social Care Jobs Live

Client: Health & Social Care Jobs Live (NHS)
Service: Public Relations (PR) and Social Media Marketing

The Background: Health & Social Care Jobs Live, supported by the NHS, was an inaugural event held by leading event specialists JS Media Limited at Westfield Shopping Centre in Shepherds Bush in June 2023. This event targeted NHS Trusts, private hospitals, care homes, charities and live-in care organisations. It was a free-to-attend show with thousands of clinical and non-clinical jobs available.

The Challenge: Organisers of the show had set themselves steep targets for footfall, pre-registered candidates ‘with CV in hand’ and exhibitors. Alongside its dedicated sales team, the event organisers enlisted the support of SCS Marketing & PR to increase brand awareness, drawing on the expertise of its Public Relations and LinkedIn Marketing Teams. The biggest challenge was to raise the profile of the event far and wide – to exhibitors and candidates spread across a wide geographical area.

The Solution: SCS took a strategic approach to the PR campaign by creating ‘noise’ in the media about Health & Social Care Jobs Live and why it was a show not to be missed. The team also provided leadership PR, features and an unlimited number of exhibitor case studies about individual NHS Trusts and social care organisations who had signed up to exhibit at the show. These case studies were picked up and published by national, regional and healthcare press.

The PR campaign was backed up by a solid LinkedIn Outreach Social Media Programme designed to methodically work through all NHS Trusts and social care providers within a pre-agreed geographical range. In addition to the PR and Linkedin Outreach, the SCS Marketing & PR content marketing team produced a weekly schedule of posts to provide information on the show, the exhibitor packages and key personnel in the events team. SCS engaged with social listening which involved replying to comments or direct messages as well as proactively seeking out and engaging with targeted third-party accounts to boost brand awareness.

The Results: The PR campaign yielded strong results with 15,000 pre-registered candidates and over 50 exhibitors booked. It also reached an audience of 3,639,975 with earned media coverage of £15,520. The SCS team grew the LinkedIn Company page by 300 per cent and the bespoke events page saw a healthy mix of 500 exhibitors and candidates check in to say they would be in attendance on the day. SCS also handled media invitation lists including hosting journalists from the national press who attended the show. Health & Social Care Jobs Live was so successful that the event will be returning in May 2024.
